The terms, A to Z
- 1v1
A one-on-one duel.
- Alt
A second account. Not allowed for farming kills or Elo.
- Camp
Staying hidden or at range to avoid fighting.
- Clutch
Getting out of a lost situation, often barely.
- Combat log
Disconnecting mid-fight. On PaffMC, you lose your items.
- Combo
Landing hit after hit without taking any.
- CPS
Clicks per second.
- Crew
A team of players, useful for KOTH.
- Crit
A critical hit, landed while falling from a jump: more damage.
- Elo
A skill score that goes up or down depending on the level of the players you beat or lose to.
- FFA
Free for all: everyone against everyone in one arena.
- Gap
A golden apple.
- GG
Good game, said at the end of a match.
- KB
Knockback: the push given by a hit.
- KDR
Kills divided by deaths.
- KOTH
King of the Hill: capture and hold a zone, as a team.
- Placement
The first ranked matches of a season, which count more to place you quickly.
- Pot
A splash potion. "To pot": to throw a potion on yourself.
- Reach
How far a hit lands. Abnormal reach is a sign of cheating.
- Refill
Restocking your healing items between fights.
- Rush
Charging at your opponent or the objective.
- Strafe
Moving sideways while facing your opponent.
- Streak
Number of kills in a row without dying.
- W-tap
Releasing then pressing forward again right after a hit to reset your sprint and push further.
