Choose a Bedrock PvP server
Ping, anti-cheat, shop balance, honest leaderboards, labelled bots, community: the criteria to judge a Bedrock PvP server before spending hours on it.

Why it happens
Each Minecraft Bedrock version uses a protocol number. Most servers, PaffMC included, accept only one version at a time: the latest. PaffMC currently accepts Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.50.
- Your game is older than the server: the most common case. Update the game.
- Your game is newer than the server: right after a big Minecraft update, the server can be a few hours or a few days behind while its engine catches up.
- You are on a beta or preview version: they have their own protocol and are refused by almost every server. Go back to the regular version.
Find your version
Your version shows at the bottom right of the Minecraft title screen. Compare it with the one the server asks for. On PaffMC, if your version does not get in, the refusal message tells you which one you have and which one you need.
Update the game

Exact labels can vary with your system version. After updating, fully restart the game.
What about Minecraft Java?
Minecraft Java is a different edition, with its own versions. PaffMC also accepts Java players on version 1.21.11 or newer, at the same address. Details and limits are on the Java and Bedrock page.
Other common errors
- "Unable to connect to world": check the address and port (play.paffmc.net, port 19132), then your connection. Steps are on How to join.
- The server does not show up on console: consoles have no button to add an external server, you need one of the methods in our PlayStation, Xbox and Switch guides.
- Pack download blocked: PaffMC requires its resource packs. Accept the download, otherwise the connection stops.
Why a server accepts only one version
With every update, Minecraft changes how it talks to servers: new blocks, new items, new network packets. The server engine has to be adapted each time. Accepting several versions at once needs a translation layer between versions, which brings its own bug risks. PaffMC follows the latest version and updates its engine automatically as soon as a new version is supported.
Consoles
On Xbox, PlayStation and Switch, games often update on their own, but only if automatic updates are on and the console is online. If your game suddenly refuses every server, check for an update manually before looking any further.
